Biography

Born in St Albans, England in 1954. I started painting aged 22. Through perseverance and a love of this hobby I became recognised whilst working as a Theatre Set Painter.  At age 39 I gained a First Class Honors Arts Degree at University. I continued working in a Theatre as Head of Marketing and Promotions. In 2017 I retired early and moved to Spain. Since then I've dedicated my life to painting and exhibit Internationally. I donate the money from the sale of my paintings to UNICEF to help refugee children.

I was born in St. Albans, England in 1954 to a hardworking, working class family. I did not achieve at school and left at the age of 18. I walked straight into a job window dressing and climbed through the ranks rapidly and after a few years became the head of the department.

It wasn’t until the age of 22 that I first started painting, and through perseverance and a deep love of this hobby I became recognised. When I was 25 after the break up of my first marriage I moved to Devon. I quickly became noticed through my art and I spent many happy years being a theatre set painter, before deciding at the age of 39 to return to education to take an arts degree, I gained a first class honours degree.

I returned to theatre work, this time as head of marketing and promotion for a regional theatre. In 2017 I retired early and moved to Spain, since then I have dedicated my life to painting, exhibiting in many international shows as well as winning a number of artistic awards. I have had 4 one man shows, two in Ipswich -UK, one in Alcala La Real - Spain and one in Venice - Italy.

I now dedicate my life to raising money to help refugee children around the world, and to this purpose all the money I make from the sale of my paintings goes towards this cause.
